Robert Pittman uses his many decades of security, law enforcement, and military expertise to ensure those who protect us from harm get the right resources, for the right purpose, at the right time.
A doctor of management, Robert brings over forty years of security and law enforcement expertise to the US Department of Defense. A 23-year veteran of the Air Force, he uses his extensive budget analysis and program monitoring skills to support the US Air Force Civil Service in San Antonio, Texas. As the Resource Program Manager, Robert manages a $1.5B budget for the Air Force Installation Mission Support Center Security Forces. He leads, plans, coordinates, executes, and reports on operational security forces programs; establishes policy; and provides strategic planning guidance, organization, and direction on installation security, integrated defense, training, police services, antiterrorism, installation security operations, and force protection issues and activities, in crisis and in war. He also served the Air Force as Chief of Antiterrorism and Force Protection and the 502 Security Forces Squadron Chief of Police Operations of the largest Department of the Air Force civilian police force in the DOD, which he also designed and organized. A respected security specialist and subject matter expert in law enforcement/security practices, principles, procedures, regulations, and legislative matters, with in-depth knowledge of and experience in nuclear, biological, and chemical warfare defense and self-aid procedures, Robert shares his criminal justice knowledge in his roles as full-time faculty at US Air Force Technical Training, Security Police Academy; adjunct faculty at the University of Phoenix; adjunct professor at American Public University; and curriculum developer at Texas Engineering Extension Service.
