Captain J. Mark Madar is using his three decades of leadership in the military and telecommunications field to change the game with data, web, and cell big players, helping them be accountable for data integrity, to safeguard privacy and protect rights.

Retired US Army Captain and telecommunications executive Mark Madar, brings more than 30 years of experience from each endeavor to manage security risks and influence security culture across all aspects of business. In his work as Vice President of Telecommunications Engineering and Design, he oversaw a global team of engineers at MCI Communications Corp. His leadership of worldwide groups of more than 250 people deploying world-class technology and intelligence resulted in significant productivity and profitability gains, the wise balancing of workloads between the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific regions, and enhanced working relationships with international suppliers. Mark understands the power of optimization–of data systems as well as people, leading the effort to improve diversity at the executive level of the company. His expertise with telecommunications began in the US Army, where he was responsible for planning, coordinating, configuring and supervising Army telecommunications to maintain, operate, and install telecom networks.

He underwent extensive advanced training for special forces telecommunications. The combination of classroom instruction with hands-on combat and armaments training outfitted him for sergeant duties, including preparing tactical communications functionality to assist with operations, as well as advising, supervising, and organizing the installation and use of communications equipment. His current passion is bringing the same systems optimization and diversification to Christ the King Lutheran Church. As Council President, he guided the congregation to welcome all ethnicities and sexual orientations, completed the renovation of worship spaces to accommodate those with disabilities, and recruited and installed new pastors.

An influencer of security culture and maverick in the optimization of data and people, Mark is channeling his telecommunications expertise to ensure the safety and integrity of all people, regardless of ethnicity, culture, ability, or orientation.
